We have  Urgent requirement for Ilog/Lindo/Xpress Developer with one of our client.

Position Title      Optimization Specialist 

 

Description

Major Responsibilities and day to day activities and/or objective for the role:

 

This person will be responsible for driving the designing and prototyping of an Optimization Engine which will serve as a critical component in a large-scale order-to-cash system.  This will initially be a 3-4 month proof-of-concept effort where key architectural decisions will be made for a follow-on pilot project and beyond.  The team will consist of 10-12 people, and will be co-located onsite in Houston.

 

Skills Required

This role requires someone with a strong mathematical/statistical background as well as experience in Commercial Optimization Packages such as ILog, Xpress, or LINDO.

 Domain experience in Transportation or Logistics would be a huge plus (i.e. vehicle routing, scheduling, and other areas where resource optimization is needed). 

Experience with complex scheduling algorithms, route optimization engine design.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

•             Experience working with Commercial Optimization Software packages such as IBM ILog, Xpress,  or LINDO.  Creation of similar programs using C++/C#   will be a secondary consideration.

•             Deep mathematics, statistical/qualitative background, and knowledge of applied operations techniques including decision analysis, optimization, graph theory, and simulation.

•             Programming experience preferably in C# or C++

•             Strong communication skills and comfortable working in an agile team environment.

•             Ability to correlate business needs with decision optimization solutions.

•             Transportation or Logistics Industry Experience
